No duh.

Too bad Bush won't read the report - it is after all 30 whole pages. Dang! Even your average comic book only has 24 (if you don't count the ads).

Spy Agencies Say Iraq War Hurting U.S. Terror Fight

We get comments!

We actually do – every month or so - we are so popular!

ya know what yall just need to get over it.. George Bush is awesome and he is doing a great job!
At this point I thought it was just a friend leaving a sarcastic comment – seriously it has got to be a joke – but the comment continued, so I think it is real.

i know that we have a right to our own opinions and expression of our opinions but its pretty bad when our own president doesnt get any support from his people.
Actually I think it is pretty bad when our own president can’t do one dang thing in six years that would be worthy of support.
the democrats wont say the same thing to different people twice because theyre all a bunch of liars!!
Wow – to quote Bush “I think that is one of those Exaggerations” I’d say that there is a habit among many politicians to say one thing to one group and then something else to another group and it certainly isn’t limited to Democrats, McCain being a prime example these days. I am with you in that I think politicians need to stop pandering, all parties. Bush is pretty consistent when he talks, he tells the same lies to everyone.
i mean do you seriously think that al gore invented the internet because he sure said he did.
Actually he never said that.
and if you believe that abortion is okay than dont even preach to anybody about how bad murder is because its just as bad if not worse becuase those babies who have been aborted never got a chance to live. try adoption buddy!!
Actually I am not in need of any more children, so I’m not going to try adoption. And adoption is a good choice for many women and wouldn’t it be great if ‘pro-life’ organizations spent their money on assisting young mothers-to-be instead of making up bogus science about abortion and breast cancer links that don’t exist. That would actually stop some abortions – the lies won’t.

I’m actually against abortion and do believe it kills a life-to-be (a sentient being that can feel later on in the pregnancy) but I am pro-choice in that I don’t think there should be laws against it. It is the woman’s body. If a person comes up to you and announces he must be attached to you for 9 months or he will die – you are allowed to say “no” and let him die. That seems like a pretty stupid way of thinking of it, but it really is abortion in a nutshell.

To sum up – murder is bad and wrong. Abortion, in my opinion, is bad, but unfortunately sometimes necessary, and always very much legal (and should be).
and ya know how al gore was a "tennessean" well thats bull crap because he took lessons to talk like a tennessean before he ran for president. the bottom line is democrats will lie about anything to get your vote.
Well Gore was raised in Tennessee and DC, so I think that makes him a “Tennessean.” You do know that Bush is actually from Connecticut don’t you? And you do know that that “Texas Ranch” of his was only purchased when he decided to run for President.
and all this stuff about how we shouldnt be in war. think about this website. why do you have it? because thousands of men died!!!!!! why can we sleep in peace at night when we lay down our heads? because thousands of men knew what it took for us to have those freedoms.. fighting for them. do you not think that the people overseas dont know the risks? did the people in the world trade center and the pentagon know the risks of going to work 5 years ago? NO!! AND THEY DIED FOR IT!! thats why were fighting this war.. FOR JUSTICE!!!!!
Whoa. Let’s take this slowly. I actually am not a pacifist. I do believe there have been, and unfortunately will be wars that need to be fought. I am against this war that has nothing to do with our security or preserving our freedoms. I am against this war of choice.

Freedom is a gift for all Americans that was brought to us with the blood of thousands of good men and women. And it would be horrible to dishonor them by not using our freedoms. They fought for our freedom – to use that fact as an excuse to badger people into not speaking freely is an insult to everyone.

I do indeed believe that the vast majority of our armed services knew the risks of joining up to defend our country, and what courageous men and women they are, which is why I think we as Americans have a responsibility to insure that they fight and die only when it is necessary. They did not join to fight and risk their lives for a war of choice.

Simply because they volunteered to join the army doesn’t mean that we as Americans have no responsibility to make sure they are correctly trained, well armed and protected, and cared for when they return. We have an obligation to make sure they are taken care of because they have volunteered to fight for our freedom. It is unfortunate that Cheney and Bush decided that their lives should be used for a war they wanted to wage, even when they didn’t have to. It doesn’t diminish our soldiers heroism. This is the most heinous thing Bush and Cheney have done.

The war in Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11 – you do know that don’t you? The only connection was that Bush and pals used 9/11 as a marketing campaign for a war they always wanted to wage. Why aren't you angry at being played like an idiot by these men?

and i really dont appreciate all this cussing and junk.. the bible tells you not to. it is wrong. oh and i dont like your banner. you can hardly read it because it goes so fast. well thats all i have to say. think about this stuff. its the truth. well have a nice day
The bible tells you not to bare false witness, and yet there are lies in your comments here. That is one of the Ten Commandments. Cussing doesn’t make the top ten. Not even close. And I take it you believe in the bible, I don't. That makes your transgressions even worse, don't you think?

And when you see a nation you love - a nation of great power, hope, and potential - dragged through the mud by lying power-hungry men, I think cussing is a pretty human reaction.

Sorry you don’t like my banner.

Basic Politics

If you are Hillary Clinton and you are trying to prove you are tough on terror by not apologizing for the Iraq war, who are you trying to get to vote for you? The people who believe the war was a good idea still are also the people who wouldn't ever vote for you - ever. So all you are doing is alienating the remaining pool of voters who would vote for you.

Face it, the people who are defending your recent stance are the folks who will stop at noting to make sure you are defeated in a general election. Such as David Brooks who writes: No Apology Needed.

Senator Clinton, Americans want to be safe, but they also want to be free, and one of the things they want to be free of is politicians who excuse idiocy and criminality with a chant of 9/11.

On the other side we have McCain during into a pro-life candidate in a desperate attempt to get the Christian Right vote. But Senator McCain these people would never vote for you anyways. Never.

I thought that these folks knew politics. Don't alienate those who may vote for you in a futile attempt to get votes from people who never will.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American people."
- Teddy Roosevelt

"Government has a final responsibility for the well-being of its citizenship. If private cooperative endeavor fails to provide work for willing hands and relief for the unfortunate, those suffering hardship from no fault of their own have a right to call upon the Government for aid; and a government worthy of its name must make fitting response."
 - Franklin Delano Roosevelt

"I am not an advocate for frequent changes in laws and Constitutions, but laws must and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors."
- Thomas Jefferson

"The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home."

"All men having power ought to be distrusted to a certain degree."
- James Madison

"I believe in human dignity as the source of national purpose, in human liberty as the source of national action, in the human heart as the source of national compassion, and in the human mind as the source of our invention and our ideas. It is, I believe, the faith in our fellow citizens as individuals and as people that lies at the heart of the liberal faith. For liberalism is not so much a party creed or set of fixed platform promises as it is an attitude of mind and heart, a faith in man's ability through the experiences of his reason and judgment to increase for himself and his fellow men the amount of justice and freedom and brotherhood which all human life deserves."
- John F. Kennedy

"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are [a] few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid."
- Dwight D. Eisenhower
