EPA Proposal Would Ease Clean-Air Rules for National Parks
Regional Administrators Decry DecisionThe Environmental Protection Agency is finalizing new air-quality rules that would make it easier to build coal-fired power plants, oil refineries and other major polluters near national parks and wilderness areas, even though half of the EPA's 10 regional administrators formally dissented from the decision and four others criticized the move in writing.For some reason the Washington Post left the insanely difficult math for to its readers to do:
10 regional administrators.
5 formally dissent from the decision
4 others disagree in writing.
So one guy wanted to do this?!? Well if he loves coal so much I hope he doesn't mind that that is all he (or she) will find in their Christmas stocking!
Actually given the way the economy is heading, Christmas stocking coal will be a welcome source of energy for many this Christmas.
